POETRY WORKSHOP
If
you took a workshop last year, you know that Dr. Bizzaro
is fun, informative, and a nationally recognized teacher
of writing. His workshops will give you lots of teaching
ideas to bring to the classroom.
November 2: 10:00 a.m.--12:00 p.m.
Carteret Community College Student Center Meeting Room
Dr.
Patrick Bizzaro will hold a two-hour workshop based on poems
submitted by participants. He will chose representative
examples for use during workshop but make written comments
on all submissions. All the poems may be picked up in person
after the workshop.
The
fee is $25 either payable at the door or in advance if you
wish to submit material for commentary.

FLASH FICTION INSTRUCTIONAL WORKSHOP
November 2: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Carteret Community College Student Center Meeting Room
Dr.
Patrick Bizzaro will hold a two-hour instructional session
on flash fiction. An emerging genre, flash fiction possesses
characteristics of both poetry and prose and offers emerging
fiction writers an opportunity to publish in a genre less
competitive than the short story genre offers.
Bizzaro
will provide instructional materials, including examples
of flash fiction, and provide one or more prompts to get
participants started in the writing of a piece of flash
fiction.
The
fee is $25 payable at the door or in advance.
